Dubai Private Jet Terminals: DXB, DWC and FBO Planning

In How to Charter by ASM Fuel Operations

Choosing a Dubai private jet terminal is an operational decision as well as a passenger decision. The airport, aircraft parking, handling arrangement and onward journey must work together. This guide gives flight schedulers a confirmation checklist and tells travellers which details to request.

Compare DXB and DWC around the mission

Dubai International (DXB/OMDB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC/OMDW) are different airports. Compare the accepted movement time, aircraft suitability, parking, passenger processing and road journey to the actual destination. Terminal availability does not establish runway availability or flight approval.

Use the DXB operational guide and current UAE aeronautical information publications. The operator must review the applicable AIP, supplements and NOTAMs. Planned airport expansion is separate from infrastructure available for today’s flight.

Confirm the FBO and handler separately

An executive terminal can provide passenger facilities and local services. The aircraft handler, fuel seller and trip-support coordinator may have different responsibilities. Establish which named provider will accept the aircraft, where passengers report and who handles each service.

Confirm the station, terminal address, aircraft limits and accepted booking through the handling coordination. Do not assume an FBO brand provides identical facilities at both airports. Tell ASM about existing arrangements so instructions do not conflict.

Keep approvals, movement time and parking separate

Confirm applicable UAE and Dubai approvals for the flight classification and aircraft. Record references, validity and conditions. Airport movement acceptance, parking confirmation and flight permissions are separate checks; acceptance of one does not guarantee the others.

Provide aircraft type and registration, operator, route, schedule with time zone, flight purpose and required passenger and crew information through the agreed secure process. State schedule flexibility. Discuss flight support against the actual requirement.

Specify handling, fuel and crew requirements

List ground power, towing, passenger and baggage transport, catering, fuel grade and estimated quantity, crew accommodation and required equipment. Request acknowledgement of service availability and timing for the aircraft.

For fuel, compare unit, currency, quote validity, included charges, exclusions and payment terms. A quote, release and completed uplift are different statuses. See the fuel pricing guide and fuel services. A supplier relationship does not itself guarantee a lower price.

Give passengers an arrival brief

Name the airport, terminal entrance, meeting contact, reporting time, required documents and transfer destination. Security, customs and immigration remain applicable. Private aviation does not guarantee clearance time.

Obtain road transfer estimates for the date, destination and expected traffic. Allow contingency for airport processing and changed arrival times. Confirm baggage and mobility assistance before assigning the vehicle.

Control amendments and handover

  • Record the latest accepted aircraft, route and schedule.
  • Track approvals, airport acceptance, parking and handler acknowledgement separately.
  • Identify who amends fuel, catering, crew arrangements and transfers.
  • Give the next operations shift current references and escalation contacts.
  • Update passenger terminal instructions after any airport change.

ASM can review the requested Dubai trip-support scope, subject to local availability and acceptance. Send a flight brief and identify services already arranged.
