QFE is a measurement of atmospheric pressure used in aviation. It refers to the air pressure at a specific location and is used as a reference for aircraft altimeters. When an aircraft is on the ground, its altimeter can be set to QFE to read the actual height above sea level of the airfield. QFE is expressed in units of pressure, such as hectopascals (hPa) or inches of mercury (inHg).
