This page explains who produces the content on asm.aero, how it is reviewed, how we verify operational information, and how to tell us if something is wrong. It applies to every article on the ASM blog and to the service pages that describe what we do.
It does not apply to client-specific quotations, proposals, operational bulletins sent by email or WhatsApp, or internal procedure documents.
Who produces our content?
Content on asm.aero is produced by the operational desks that do the work it describes, not by an external content agency. These desks are:
• ASM Editorial — group-level commentary, company news, industry analysis and recognition. Works with the operational desks so that what is published reflects current conditions.
• ASM Flight Support Desk — licensed flight dispatchers and operations professionals covering permits, flight planning, ground handling, cargo, crew arrangements, HOTAC and diversion response.
• ASM Fuel Operations — fuel supply, release and uplift coordination, with input from the commercial fuel team on supplier arrangements and quotations.
• ASM Charter Team — charter enquiries, quotations, itinerary review and passenger coordination for ASM Charter, the private charter service of Aviation Services Management.
• ASM Operations Control — time-sensitive operational advisories affecting flights in progress and in planning.
Every article carries the desk that produced it, both as the byline and in the credentials box at the foot of the page.
Why we do not publish individual authors’ names
We publish under desk names rather than personal ones, and we want to be direct about why.
Our operations and charter teams handle client movements that are commercially and personally sensitive. Charter passengers, government and diplomatic missions, medical transfers and cargo operators rely on ASM to be discreet about who is flying, when and where. Naming the individuals who coordinate that work, and publicly linking them to the routes and airports they specialise in, would conflict with that commitment. Discretion is part of the service we sell, not a position we take for marketing reasons.
Responsibility for what appears here therefore rests with Aviation Services Management as a company rather than with named individuals. Anything published on this site is something ASM stands behind, and the contact routes below reach a person who can answer for it.
Who reviews and approves what we publish
Nothing is published without review by someone accountable for the service it describes. Articles are prepared by the relevant desk and reviewed by the head of that desk before publication. Where an article describes a capability, coverage area or credential, it is additionally checked against what ASM currently delivers by the person responsible for that service line.
Editorial responsibility for the site as a whole sits with ASM’s marketing and operations leadership, who oversee consistency, tone and compliance with these standards.
How we verify information
Aviation information expires. Airport procedures change, permit lead times move, fuel availability shifts and facilities close. We work to the following rules:
- Operational detail is checked against current procedures at the time of writing, using ASM’s own coordination records, published authority and airport information, and, where relevant, confirmation from our handling and fuel suppliers.
- Articles containing operational detail carry the month and year in which that detail was last verified. If you are reading one where that date is some way in the past, treat it as background and contact the operations desk for current information.
- We do not publish prices, rates or fuel costs. Commercial scope, inclusions and limitations are confirmed in writing in the applicable quotation, proposal or booking documentation.
- We do not make claims about aircraft availability, fleet composition or operator status on this site. Aircraft operation and management sit with ASM AIR, and the applicable operator is confirmed in the relevant charter proposal and booking documentation.
- We avoid superlatives and best-in-market claims that we cannot evidence.
How we keep content current
Published articles are reviewed on a rolling basis, and any article whose operational detail no longer holds is corrected, updated or withdrawn. Where an article is updated substantively, the modified date on the page reflects that. We do not refresh dates on content we have not actually revised.
Operational advisories are dated on publication and marked as superseded once the restriction they describe has lifted. An advisory should never be treated as current guidance without checking with the operations desk.
The “last reviewed” date at the foot of this page refers to this Editorial Standards page itself, not to individual articles.
Corrections and questions
If something on this site is inaccurate, out of date or unclear, tell us, and we will correct it. Email pr@asm.aero for flight support, fuel and cargo content, and charter content. Please include the page address. We aim to acknowledge corrections within two working days and to amend or withdraw the content where the point is well founded.
