A private charter to NEOM is normally planned through NEOM Bay Airport (NUM/OENN), subject to aircraft acceptance and the passenger’s actual destination within the wider NEOM region. From Dubai, typical nonstop flying time is approximately three hours. The final block time depends on aircraft type, routing, winds and air-traffic control.
NEOM is a developing multi-location destination, so choosing the airport is only the first decision. Airport acceptance, Saudi landing permission, slots or PPR where applicable, parking, handling, passenger documentation and the onward road programme must all support the proposed schedule.
For aircraft availability and a mission-specific proposal, review ASM Charter services.
Which airport should a private charter use for NEOM?
NEOM Bay Airport is the principal airport considered for the NEOM area. However, the best arrival point depends on the specific development, project site, resort or meeting location. NEOM covers a large geographic area, and a destination described only as “NEOM” is not enough to build an accurate flight and ground plan.
Tabuk Airport may be reviewed as an alternative for some itineraries, but it should not be assumed to provide the shortest complete journey. The charter enquiry should include the final address, project name or receiving contact so that airport suitability and road time can be evaluated together.
What ASM Charter confirms before presenting an aircraft
A useful proposal requires the departure airport, dates, preferred times, passenger count, baggage, final NEOM destination, return sector and any project-access or security requirements. ASM Charter reviews aircraft availability, positioning, range, cabin and baggage suitability, operator documentation and the schedule that can realistically be supported.
Aircraft selection is mission-led. A regional charter from the Gulf may suit a midsize or super-midsize aircraft, while passenger numbers, bulky equipment, remote-site baggage or a longer inbound sector may require a larger cabin. Aircraft and price remain subject to operator acceptance and the signed charter agreement.
Saudi entry formalities and CIQ
Private aviation does not bypass immigration, customs, security or health requirements. Passenger and crew details normally have to be supplied before operation, and every traveller must hold the passport, visa or entry authority appropriate to the purpose of travel.
Saudi tourist eVisa eligibility and conditions vary, and a tourism permission should not be assumed to cover employment, project work or another business purpose. Travellers and sponsoring organisations remain responsible for confirming the correct entry category through current Saudi government channels.
The assigned passenger process and customs, immigration and quarantine sequence depend on the approved handling arrangement. ASM Charter coordinates the information required for the charter, but admission remains a decision for the relevant authorities.
Landing permission, slots, PPR and parking
Non-scheduled operations may require Saudi landing permission supported by operator and aircraft documents. Slot, PPR, parking and handling requirements are movement-specific. NEOM’s development activity and airport capacity can also affect aircraft acceptance, service availability and lead time.
The operating carrier and its appointed flight-support chain must confirm the current permit pathway, airport approval, parking plan and any repositioning requirement. Current AIP information and NOTAMs must be checked for every movement; a previous flight approval does not confirm a future operation.
Handling, fuel and crew planning
The operational plan can include handling, fuel uplift, passenger transport, catering, cleaning, crew transport and accommodation. Service availability should be checked before departure, particularly for short-notice operations or itineraries involving specialist baggage and project equipment.
Where the aircraft cannot remain on the ground, a drop-and-go or repositioning plan may affect price and crew duty. Return timing should therefore be assessed with the entire aircraft rotation rather than treated as an independent departure.
Ground transport and site access
Onward travel can be a major part of a NEOM charter. The receiving location, authorised driver, vehicle type, passenger manifest, baggage, security instructions and site-access permissions should be coordinated before the aircraft departs.
ASM Charter can coordinate passenger transport using the confirmed destination details. Guaranteed road times should not be published because routes, checkpoints, construction activity and access controls can change.
What affects the charter price?
Pricing depends on the aircraft, positioning, flight time, airport and handling charges, parking, crew expenses, ground requirements and schedule flexibility. A headline route estimate may not include repositioning or the operational cost of limited parking.
ASM Charter compares suitable operator proposals on a like-for-like basis and identifies the assumptions that still require confirmation. Final availability and pricing are governed by the charter agreement.
Private charter to NEOM FAQs
Can a private jet fly directly from Dubai to NEOM?
A nonstop charter is generally within the capability of many regional business jets, but the aircraft, schedule, permissions and airport acceptance must be confirmed for the specific date.
Is NEOM Bay Airport always the best option?
Not necessarily. The final project or destination location, aircraft acceptance and ground journey determine the best complete plan.
Can ASM Charter coordinate project-team transport?
Yes. Passenger count, baggage, receiving location, access requirements and local contact details should be provided during the enquiry.
Does the charter include a Saudi visa?
No. Travellers remain responsible for securing the correct visa or entry authority. ASM Charter coordinates flight-related passenger information but cannot guarantee immigration approval.
