Dubai Airports has announced a scheduled runway closure at Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) throughout April 2025 to carry out critical maintenance and patching works. Operators using DWC are advised to take note of the closure dates and times to avoid operational disruptions.
📅 Runway Closure Schedule
The runway will be unavailable for all arrivals and departures on the following dates and times:
- Monday 7th April to Thursday 10th April 2025
- Monday 14th April to Thursday 17th April 2025
- Monday 21st April to Thursday 24th April 2025
⏰ Daily Closure Time: 0900 to 2100 LT (0500 to 1700 UTC)
✈️ Flight Restrictions
To support runway maintenance and ensure safe ground operations, buffer times have been added based on Scheduled In Block Time (SIBT) and Scheduled Off Block Time (SOBT) to allow for taxi-in and taxi-out:
- ❌ No Arrivals between 0850 to 2105 LT (0450 to 1705 UTC)
- ❌ No Departures between 0840 to 2045 LT (0440 to 1645 UTC)

All operators and airlines are strongly advised to:
- Coordinate with Airport Coordination Limited (ACL) for slot adjustments
- Plan alternate timings or consider using alternate airports
- Adhere strictly to the closure windows and buffer periods to avoid delays or diversions
